Mexican Bank becomes first bank to start accepting the cryptocurrency

On Sanday, billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego, announced that his banking may begin accepting cryptocurrency, making it the country’s first bank to do so.
Salinas, who is named as Mexico’s third richest man by Forbes, with a family fortune estimated to be worth $15.8 billion. He is the owner of the enormous Banco Azteca banking enterprise, which has a market capitalization of $2 billion.
Earlier this year, Salinas stated that he had approximately 10% of his liquid assets invested in bitcoin. On Sunday, he stated that all investors should become familiar with cryptocurrencies and its potential.
As Salinas pointed out in a tweet, “I certainly promote the usage of #Bitcoin, and myself and my bank are working hard to become the first bank in Mexico to accept #Bitcoin.”
Bitcoin increased in value by almost 7.5 percent on Sunday, trading at over $34,500.
