16,560 health professionals have signed a contract for Covid-19

ISLAMABAD: According to reports cited by Newsline.pk on Sunday, as many as 16,560 healthcare personnel have been infected while combating the outbreak of COVID-19 in Pakistan, according to the report.
According to officials at the Ministry of National Health, a total of 9,893 physicians, 2,363 nurses, and 4,304 other hospital employees have acquired the coronavirus so far throughout the country.
A total of 163 healthcare workers have died in the country’s ongoing battle against the deadly COVID-19 virus epidemic, according to official sources.
In total, 16,111 health-care professionals have recovered from the epidemic, according to the CDC.
Sindh is home to the majority of the medical professionals who were infected by the virus and died as a result of it. According to the province-by-province breakdown, 5,830 health professionals in Sindh were infected with coronavirus, with 56 succumbing to the disease.
In Punjab, 3,477 healthcare personnel were infected with the coronavirus, and 29 of them died as a result of the infection. In Korea, 3,947 healthcare personnel were diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus, with 44 of them succumbing to the disease.
In Islamabad, 1,510 medical personnel were infected with the coronavirus, and 13 of them died as a result of the infection. A total of 829 healthcare professionals in Balochistan and 726 healthcare workers in Azad Kashmir were infected with the coronavirus, with nine deaths in each province. A total of 230 medical personnel got coronavirus while working in Gilgit-Baltistan, with three of them dying as a result.
