On Friday morning, the worldwide Air Quality Index listed Karachi as the most polluted city in the world.

At 11 a.m., the city had an air quality index of 177, placing it in the dangerous category for PM (particulate matter) level.

An AQI of 151 to 200 is regarded as unhealthy, 200 to 300 as more dangerous, and 300 or higher as extremely dangerous.

Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab, was named the most polluted city in Pakistan as of yesterday.
