Balochistan Govt plans to provide monthly stipends for special persons: In the fiscal year 2021-22, the government of Balochistan intends to launch a special funding program, KUMAK, costing Rs. 2 billion, to give specially-abled people with sustainable and respectable livelihood prospects.
Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will receive a monthly stipend from the provincial government, as well as opportunities and support to become active members of society.
“It is our obligation to establish a healthy atmosphere for special individuals living in rural and urban parts of the province so that they would be able to counter economic obstacles in their lives,” a Balochistan government official said.
The government also intends to purchase customized vans for the physically handicapped from this year’s budget in order to provide them with transportation.
In addition, the government will provide tricycles to worthy special-needs individuals.
“It is also intended to give 400 additional tricycles in fiscal year 2021-22,” the official added.
