During the period of 28 August to 1 September, the Government College University (GCU) Lahore will conduct an entrance test for undergraduate admissions in 27 disciplines. However, the university will not use the Higher Education Commission’s Undergraduate Studies Aptitude Test (USAT) for admissions this year.
Dr. Asghar Zaidi, the Vice-Chancellor of Georgia College and University (GCU), has stated that the university will conduct entrance exams in small groups in order to ensure strict compliance with coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The Vice-Chancellor announced that the dates for each department’s admission test will be publicized on the university’s website and that the interviews for those who passed the entrance test would take place between September 13 and September 15.
According to Professor Zaidi, students who have been admitted to reserved seats in sports, co-curricular activities, and reserved seats for the disabled are excluded from taking the entrance test as well.
In addition, the GCU Societies Board has set a trial schedule for undergraduate admissions based on co-curricular activities, which will begin on August 24th and run until the end of the academic year.
According to the Vice-Chancellor, the deadline to apply for undergraduate admission is August 23rd, with no further extensions.
