According to a statement published by the Financial Department thursday Morning, the government has raised the price of petroleum products throughout the nation, with the new price of petrol being Rs235.98 per litre.

The fuel price has risen by Rs2.07 per litre after the increase of petroleum product pricing.

According to the statement, the price of high-speed diesel has also been hiked by Rs2.99, with the new price being Rs247.43 per litre. The price of light diesel oil would rise by Rs 9.79 per litre to 201.54 per litre.

The Finance Division’s announcement states that following an increase of Rs10.92 per litre, the new price of kerosene oil has been set at Rs210.32 per litre.

The notice also said that the increased rates will take effect on September 1.
