Mobile Services to Be Shut Down On Ashura, Sheikh Rasheed

Sheikh Rasheed, the Federal Interior Minister, has ordered law enforcement officials to only disable cell phones during Ashura.
The federal capital, the four provinces, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan were all reviewed during a special meeting chaired by Sheikh Rasheed.
The Interior Secretary and law enforcement officials attended the meeting.
The Interior Secretary told the meeting’s attendees that law enforcement agencies have been dispatched to aid the administration in preserving law and order and that sensitive places have been secured.
The meeting formed a special cell in the Interior Ministry to constantly monitor the situation and develop a strategy to ensure law and order on Ashura day.
According to the Interior Minister, the federal government will help the provinces during Ashura.
He ordered the competent agencies to maintain maximum security in Muharram, protect citizens’ lives and property, and minimize security-related inconveniences.
