ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Pakistan confirmed 796 new COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths on Friday, according to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Saturday.

According to the NCOC, the total number of cases has climbed to 1,513,503, with 1,453,496 recoveries.

The number of active cases in the country has fallen to 29,749, with 842 individuals in critical condition.

According to NCOC figures, 10 additional persons died from the epidemic on Friday, bringing the total number of deaths to 30,258.

With 569,637 infections, Pakistan’s southern Sindh province is the most affected region, followed by the eastern Punjab province, which has reported 502,455 cases so far.
