In the midst of alarming reports of an increase in cases, Pakistan reached the milestone of 50 million doses administered across the country on Friday, according to the National Command and Operation Centre.

CDC, which serves as the country’s nerve center in the fight against coronavirus, announced the good news while also urging residents who have not yet been vaccinated to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

It also advised those who were waiting for their second dosage to visit any immunization center within 28 days of receiving their first dose.

According to the most recent figures, Pakistan has administered 50,985,184 vaccination doses throughout the country. Of those, 39,951,787 are from first doses, and 15,269,699 are entirely vaccinated, according to the data.
