Pakistan, Russia agreed to construct the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Russia inked an inter-government agreement (IGA) on Friday to build the Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline, which would carry gas from Karachi to Kasur.

According to the Pakistan Embassy in Russia, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov and Pakistan’s ambassador in Moscow Shafqat Ali Khan signed a protocol on the revisions to the IGA on the North-South Gas Pipeline Project in Moscow.

The project has been dubbed “Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline” in accordance with the protocol.

The pipeline project is Pakistan and Russia’s flagship strategic endeavour that will promote bilateral relations.
