Punjab Govt reinforcing COVID-19 restrictions in major cities

Due to an upsurge in COVID-19 cases, the Punjab government has strengthened COVID-19 restrictions in 15 major cities, according to the government.
Until September 12, according to a statement issued by the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, limitations have been placed in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Khanewal, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Gujrat, Shiekhupura, Sialkot, and Bhakkar.

Until 8 p.m., local markets will be permitted to remain open for business. On Saturday and Sunday, all other markets will be closed, including Whole Foods.
In accordance with the COVID-19 standard operating standards, indoor weddings have been prohibited; however, outdoor weddings with a maximum of 300 guests are still permitted until 10 PM unless the weather permits (SOPs).
In addition, all shrines and movies will be shuttered, and all other forms of public meetings would be prohibited as well.
In addition, the provincial government has decided to close schools starting on September 6 due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.
