Railways minister removes the dam fund fee on tickets.

Azam Khan Swati, the Minister of Railways, has issued an order to stop the deduction of additional dam fund charges from passengers’ railway tickets.

When purchasing train tickets, travelers were charged a fee to cover the costs of the construction of the Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand dams.

Pakistan Railway charged Rs1 for every Rs100 ticket purchased in economy coaches, Rs2 for tickets purchased for more beyond Rs100, and Rs10 for tickets purchased in the air-conditioned coach.

On the 28th of July, the railway minister shared this on Twitter.
