Sindh Government to Begin Vaccination Drive for 9-12 Students —

The Sindh government decided to vaccinate all students from grades 9-12 against Coronavirus, following a significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases across the province in recent months.

It was finalized during a high-level meeting earlier today, which was jointly presided over by the provincial Health Minister, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, and the provincial Education Minister, Syed Sardar Shah.

According to the latest information, the COVID-19 Vaccination programme, which will target students in the province, will begin on September 6.

Participating in the effort will be over 2,500 teams from the provincial Ministry of Health. They will be responsible with making the appropriate arrangements for COVID-19 Vaccination in educational institutions, among other responsibilities.

A total of more than 1.4 million pupils in grades 9-12 across the province will be immunised against COVID-19 on the premises of schools and colleges.
