Student to get Stipends from Sindh Govt and BISP — Newsline.pk/Files

Stipends would be provided to qualified college students across the province under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed on Monday by the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) and the Sindh college education department.

Ghulam Mustafa, Director-General of Sindh Colleges, and Naveed Akbar, Director-General of BISP Waseela-e-Taaleem, signed the Memorandum of Understanding at the office of the Sindh college department secretary.

Khalid Hyder Shah, Sindh College Secretary, and Fouzia Basharat Samo, Director General of the BISP Sindh, were also in attendance at the occasion.

With this agreement, BISP and the provincial college education department will work together to implement a co-responsibility cash transfer (CCT) and promote higher secondary and intermediate education in Sindh as part of the Waseela-e-Talem initiative, which was launched in 2013.
