Sui Southern cut CNG stations supply, due to GAS shortage

As a result of the increasing gas scarcity in the nation, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has decided to reduce gas supplies to CNG stations and industrial customers.
Supply to homes and other customers would continue uninterrupted for the time being as maintenance on the Kunnar Pasakhi and Gambat gas fields in Sindh is taking place. The firm has asked all sectors to use substitutes for the time being.
Supposedly, this scarcity will continue for a few more days. as of today, the gas buildup is below normal and reflects a national supply gap of 177 mmcfd.
While it’s well-known that Karachi’s sole gas distributor, the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), did not accept responsibility for gas supply to the commercial and domestic sectors, causing an acute shortage in the system, it is also important to note that SSGC, on its own, decided to distance itself from that responsibility, according to some reports.
