Two police officers suspended by CM Punjab, in Minar-e-Pakistan Case

In connection with the Minar-e-Pakistan incident that happened on August 14, Punjab’s Chief Minister (CM), Sardar Usman Buzdar, has suspended two police officers.
He presided over a meeting on the law and order situation, which included a discussion of the case involving the assault of a woman by a mob in Greater Iqbal Park, and it was decided to suspend Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Jameel and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Usman Haider of the Badami Bagh police station for their roles in the incident.
The Chief Minister nominated Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Sajid Kiyani as an Officer on Special Duty and directed Senior Superintendent of Police Nadeem Abbas and Additional Superintendent of Police (Operations) Hassan Jahangir to report to the Central Police Office in city.
The Project Director and Deputy Director of Greater Iqbal Park have been suspended as a result of the decision, and a letter has been addressed to the federal government requesting that action be taken in this matter.
