Zilhaj moon has not been sighted, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on July 21

Because the Zilhaj moon has not been sighted across the country, the definitive statement will be issued by chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Ab Moulana Abdul Khabir Azad in the near future, according to the organization’s website.

While the first Zilhaj of 1442 AH will begin on July 12, the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha will take place on July 21.

After Asar prayers today, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee convened at the Met Complex in Karachi to prepare for the sighting of the crescent of the month of Zil-haj.

Previous to this, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had forecast that there would be no chance of seeing the moon of Zilhaj, 1442 AH, on the evening of July 10, which corresponded to the 29th of Ziqad, in the country.
