Shadab Khan, Pakistan’s vice-captain, is now the second-highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2022’s Super 12s stage.

Shadab Khan, an all-around player, surpassed David Warner as the second-highest wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup 2022 when Pakistan advanced to the semi-final after winning their final game in the Super 12s round.

Shadab Khan has shown to be essential for Pakistan, restricting runs in the middle overs and giving crucial wickets as the spinners have battled in the Australian conditions.

Shadab Khan has become the second-highest wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup 2022, after South Africa’s Anrich Nortje, when his two successive wickets against Bangladesh flipped the tide back in Pakistan’s favour.

Among the top five wicket-takers in the Super 12s stage of the tournament, the 24-year-old spinner is the only one. Shadab is the eighth-highest wicket-taker overall in the 2022 T20 World Cup despite having featured in only five games so far.
