Samsung has never placed a high priority on optical zoom capabilities in its S-series flagships. The Galaxy S20 and S21 offer fantastic hybrid zoom capabilities, but they fall short in the optical zoom sector, with a maximum optical zoom of only 1.1x.
Unlike the S21 Ultra, the S22 Ultra will have the same 10MP twin telephoto lens configuration. There will be one of these that has a 10x optical zoom capability. Even if Samsung does not include the 10x optical zoom lens, the Galaxy S22 and S22+ will still have a single enhanced optical zoom lens with a 3x zoom, which is a significant improvement.
The claim from Galaxy Club also verifies an earlier rumour that the Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ versions would include a 50MP main camera, according to the publication. This will be available alongside a 12MP ultrawide camera, however there is currently no information available on the front camera or its enhancements.
The Exynos 2200 SoC with an AMD mRDNA GPU and a 4,500 mAh battery with super-fast charging are among the other speculated specs of the device. It is believed to come pre-installed with Android 12 and One UI 4.0 on top of that.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series, like its predecessors, is slated to debut in the first quarter of 2022.
