It has been more than a month since the Vivo iQOO 8 series has been teased and leaked numerous times, and we have even seen photographs of the gadgets in their actual hands. A launch date has also been confirmed by Vivo, with the company saying that it will be made official on August 17.
The language on the poster reads, “Full Control on the Verge of the iQOO 8 Series Conference,” which is most likely a hint at the iQOO 8’s strong performance, but it is a rough translation of the original phrase.
Previous sources have indicated that the iQOO 8 will be the first smartphone to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC, which will have 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Although iQOO recently demonstrated 120W rapid charging at the ChinaJoy convention, an unsubstantiated rumor indicates that the device will be capable of charging at up to 160W in total. A Samsung E5 LPTO AMOLED screen with 2K resolution has been tipped by tipster Digital Chat Station, and the device will have this screen as its primary display. Based on leaked photographs, the display will be curved on the sides but flat on the bottom, according to the report. The selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole cutout in the center of the frame.
Because the phone is only two weeks away from being on sale, we should expect to see more in-depth information about it very soon.
