Tuesday’s unexpected outage of the meta-owned instant messaging service WhatsApp affected several nations, including Pakistan.

However, following a nearly two-hour interruption, the service was reinstated.

Initial reports claimed that users could not send or receive messages on the messaging service owned by Meta, prompting the hashtag #WhatsApp to become a top trend on Twitter.

In Pakistan, WhatsApp is by far the most widely used messaging app.

Then, US tech company Meta acknowledged that a widespread outage has impacted its messaging app WhatsApp and said it was trying to “as fast as possible” restore the service.

After tracking the website Downdetector stated that customers were having issues utilizing the service, and the outage was reported.
