The Disappearing Messages of WhatsApp Help Make Chats More Secure.
The Disappearing Messages feature on WhatsApp has been expanded to include more options. Last year, a feature inspired by Snapchat was introduced, which allowed users to have texts from specific chats disappear after seven days. Messages, which now allow users to delete messages after they’ve been sent in new and innovative ways
On Monday, WhatsApp introduced two new time ranges for Disappearing Messages: 24 hours and 90 days, which are available to all users. These options will be available in addition to the currently applicable seven-day time limit. Disappearing Messages can also be enabled for all new one-on-one chats that are initiated by the user, in addition to any existing one-on-one chats that are initiated with them, automatically. This functionality is only accessible for new talks, and it has no effect on current chats at this point in time.
