Apple CEO Tim Cook has declared that it will contribute to the relief and recovery operations underway in Pakistan as a result of the terrible flood-induced storms that have claimed millions of lives.
Tim Cook said on Twitter that the company will donate to relief and recovery operations on the ground.
“The floods in Pakistan and adjacent areas are catastrophic humanitarian tragedies,” Cook said. “Our sympathies are with those who have lost loved ones, the countless displaced families, and all those impacted; Apple will give to relief and recovery efforts on the ground.”
The continuous monsoon rains that have drowned a third of the country and taken more than 1,100 lives have had an impact on tens of millions of people.
More than a million homes have been damaged or destroyed as a result of the rains that started falling in June, which have caused the worst flooding in more than ten years.
