Italy has reached a 30 million vaccine dose milestone

Italy reached a landmark of 30 million doses injected in its Covid-19 vaccine campaign on Saturday, with nearly 10 million people now completely vaccinated across the world.
According to government estimates, more than 9.85 million patients in Italy have received two doses of a coronavirus vaccine, accounting for 16.6% of the country’s 60 million people.
Two-thirds of the doses given in Italy so far have gone to people over the age of 60.
Italy, which was hit hard by the pandemic in early 2020, has 125,153 Covid-19 deaths, the second-largestSince April 26, Italy has gradually eased months of coronavirus limits, allowing bars and restaurants to serve customers outside.
The most recent news is encouraging, with health officials registering 125 Covid deaths in the last 24 hours, which is three times fewer than a month ago.
In the meanwhile, the positivity score of 300,000 Covid experiments conducted during the same time span has fallen to 1.6 percent, the lowest since 2021. official count in Europe after the United Kingdom, which has 128,000 deaths.
