WHO honors Pakistan for its help in evacuating Afghans

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Pakistan’s government has made significant progress in safe and rapid evacuations and airlifts from Afghanistan.

Dr. Ahmed Ali Mandhari, Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), expressed gratitude to the national airline, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), and stated that prompt operations by PIA saved thousands of human lives.

He went on to express gratitude to the government of Pakistan and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for their efforts to support the World Health Organization (WHO) and the people of Afghanistan.

“The support of the Pakistani people has been timely and life-saving,” he said at the end of his speech.
